October Club Meeting

Wow, another month has just flown by!  We've all been busy getting kids & grandkids back to school and all the hoopla that goes along with it.   That said, it is nice to get back the sewing, quilting, embroidering and knitting!

We had such a wonderful turnout, great projects done and turned in and a new project on the horizon.
Doris (the quilter) worked steadily on putting bindings on and brought us a great project for Christmas.   The Johnson County Wheels on Meals recipients will be getting (from us) a new pillowcase.  The need is great and we need to have 150 of them made up by the 15th of December.  YOUR help is needed.   If you know anyone who sews and would like to volunteer, please contact me, Trudie or Doris or Nora Bryan.   We have already received donations of fabric kits from Sandy's Quilt Shop in Joshua and Country Stitches in Burleson.  Because we hope so many of you will volunteer and because the Bryans have so graciously offered, we will be meeting at their business/home in November where there will be more sewing machines available.  Also, if this works out, we may start having our meetings at their home rather than at the church.  The address will be put out in two weeks for everyone.

Here is Nora working on a quilt.
And here is Ronnie working on a quilt - yep, GUYS this is for you too!

Judy is finishing up her embroidery (which I still need to do)Barbara is still crocheting and making the most beautiful lapghans.

Here we have our knitters dueling with knitting needles!  We do have fun!
Thank you all for all the work you do.   This mission would not work without you!
